Women’s Self Defence & Empowerment Training


 

It is a sad fact that the threat of violence might happen to a member of our family or ourselves at some point in our lives. You hear stories in the media every day. At Han Lon Eastern Concepts, we offer our own self-defence system, which is practical and direct.

Our Aims:

Teach a basic, but effective, knowledge of self-defence.

Make the individual more aware of potential hazards in their lives to avoid confrontation and remain calm. Self-defence techniques that are useable no matter what age or fitness level and effective against a bigger or stronger opponent.

We have open discussions regarding people’s experiences and discuss techniques and approaches that could have helped them in those real-life situations. Our classes, in particular, are very informative and great fun. Students will learn to have physical strength but, more importantly, mental strength too. We offer a Yin and Yang approach to self-defence – a hard and soft methodology.

We offer 8 week courses or ongoing weekly classes.

  • Physical and mental effects on your body during a confrontation
  • The most common attacks
  • Self-defence techniques
  • How to strike correctly

  • Techniques with improvised weapons
